An Austrian Bundesheer variation of the iconic US M1 helmet. Helmets of this design were used from WWII through to the late '80's by many NATO countries. These Austrian steel pots are dated from 1970-80 and include a liner. The shell retains the typical M1 shape with a steel construction, painted in olive drab. Austrian M1 liners differ slightly, featuring a tongued leather pad with two wide canvas suspension straps underneath. A must-have for a military headwear collection or reenactments.
