Spyderco designed the Polestar for blade addicts on a budget. This low-cost EDC folder upholds the high standards we've come to expect from Spyderco, but with an economic construction. The signature leaf-shaped blade has a distal tapered full-flat grind, so it takes and holds a razor sharp edge. The open-back handle is lightweight and easy to clean, featuring G-10 scales and skeletonized liners. Blade access is controlled with a Round Hole and liner lock.

"Flat grind" knives maintain their thickness through most of the blade, then taper off quickly at the edge. "Full-flat grind" knives have a long bevel that extends all the way from the spine to the edge. Flat ground blades have greater strength, while full-flat ground blades create less drag.
