It is equipped with a large Guard that protects your hand from rebounding sticks, rocks and foliage that could scratch or cut you during use and is easily carried in a leather sheath.  The walnut wood handle comes equally tapered to prevent slippage when engaged, keeping your last strike as powerful as your first.
