Cold Steel have reinvented the bowie knife with this latest addition to the Drop Forged series. This fixed blade knife has a smaller frame than most other bowies, but it makes up for its size with extra strength. Constructed from a single piece of 52100 high carbon steel, it has the durability and raw power to hack through any problem. The down-style handle is ergonomically shaped with a cross guard and trough to optimize every swing. The package includes a Secure-Ex sheath with a nylon belt loop.

Pro tip:
The bowie knife is named after American pioneer James Bowie. According to legend, James commissioned a blacksmith to forge him a uniquely shaped knife for use in an infamous duel known as the Sandbar Fight. The specifications of that original blade are widely disputed, but today the term bowie knife refers to any large fixed blade with a clip point and cross guard.
