BK16 Short Becker Drop Point Becker Knife & Tool Designs Ethan Becker founded Becker Knife & Tool in the early 1980's and set about designing, manufacturing and selling the industrial-strength tactical and survival knives that he had always wanted for himself. His products, the BK&T line, have gone a long way to making these now popular all-black knives in demand. Mr. Becker spends as much time as possible in the outdoors testing a variety of equipment and knife designs, and also works to expand his primitive and outdoor skills. Just got this BK16 today from Gorilla Surplus via the courier service after a seamless order process online. It’s everything the reviewers say it is. I bought this tool based on the videos posted and all sorts of forum reviews and feedback. My concern was that cheap chinese sheath that Kabar folks contracted to the Chinese. I expected a flimsy and substandard nylon product that was gonna have to be replaced by a Kydex rendition. I was wrong. This coyote sheath is tough. The thumb snaps are solid and the retaining straps are tripled for strength. I was wrong about this sheath being wussy. I could / would /will take this combination overseas. The knife itself is flawlessly made except for that roughly finished black protective coating but a little 400 grit wet sandpaper will sort that out. Be careful unboxing your BK16, you can / may / will slice yourself. Mine is shaving sharp on my arm hairs. Life is good!!
