Pro tip:
Recurved blades have a second curve along the cutting edge, creating an S-shape in the middle. This added curvature effectively makes the cutting edge longer and provides a wider degree of cutting angles. This blade shape can be tricky to sharpen though, as it requires continual reorientation of the edge.
